Awesome tour of the Peruvian Amazon with an Exceptional Guide
October 2023 and March 2025.
What a great adventure! My guide Edwin is fantastic and knows the Amazon very well. Edwin is exceptionally helpful and will go over and above to make the Amazon experience one to always remember. I would recommend Edwin to anyone who wants a fabulous tour of the Peruvian Amazon with an amazing guide.

I had a great experience at jimmys base camp. Jimmy is a funny guy and a great guide! We had great walks in the jungle and saw lots of monkeys. I’d recommend it.

Una experiencia inolvidable, si te gusta la naturaleza en estado puro sin lugar a dudas es una experiencia increíble. Volveré en cuanto pueda a hacer otro de los tours. El trato personal es exquisito. Lo recomiendo totalmente

Ha sido una experiencia muy bonita, tanto culturalmente como físicamente.
Jimmy nos recogió en el aeropuerto y nos ofreció dar una paseo en tuktuk por san Juan, después probamos la cerveza nacional y nos recogieron para llegar a nuestro ludge en la selva. El camino se hace algo largo si no lo tienes en el conocimiento, son 2h de coche y 2h de bote en el río.
Tienes que ir preparado para los insectos, aunque las habitaciones cuentan con mosquiteras tanto en ventanas como en la cama. Es recomendable ponerse repelente todos los días.
Tuvimos unos guías muy simpáticos y amigables para hacer de nuestra estancia una experiencia divertida, también te explican sobre su cultura y las tradiciones.
En nuestra estancia destaco la visita a los delfines que sorprendentemente se ven muchos, monos, arañas y serpientes en su hábitat ha sido algo fácil y seguro de la mano de nuestros guías delfin y gerar. Nos llevaron a bañarnos en el río y realizamos baño en el barro. Pescamos y vimos preciosos amaneceres y atardeceres.
Nos llevaron a bailar una noche en la disco del lugar y disfrutamos de la compañía de la comunidad.
Realizamos baño de flores y meditación, esta última muy recomendable con Fran muy amable, simpático y con conocimientos.

An impromptu visit; I went alone and ordered a personal-sized *mixto* (there is also an option to order a large one). I thought the portion might be small, but it was perfect, and it came out quite quickly—no long wait. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere was cozy and pleasant. 100% recommended.
